Vrindavan, 2016.06.18 (VT): Three members have been appointed in the Banke Bihari Temple Managing Committee by the Munsif Court of Mathura 45 days after the election of the committee. The court has appointed three members including the sitting President and one former District Judge. All three are residents of Mathura.
As per the provision of the Banke Bihari Management Committee, three members have to be nominated in the committee from the outside of the sevait families. But the sevait Goswamis couldn’t reach into the consensus in selecting the names of the nominated members. Now when the sevaits couldn’t suggest three names in the scheduled time period of one month, the court had to intervene in naming three additional members.
The election of the members of the Banke Bihari Managing Committee held on 24th April at Mohan Bag amid tight security. Two members each from Rajbhog sevaits and the Shayan Bhog sevaits were elected in the committee. Shri Gourav Goswami, Shri Rajat Goswami, Shri Dinesh Goswami and Brajesh Goswami were elected in the committee.
The Mathura Munsif Inderjeet Singh nominated three members Shri Nand Kishor Upmanyu, the sitting President, Former District Judge and High Court judge Justice Anil Kumar Sharma and Shri Kant Baba from the Shri Peeth Shri ji Mandir. Now after this process the seven members will form a new committee and elect the office bearers to begin functioning.
