Vrindavan, 2016. 07.04 (VT): The Bhakti flows spontaneously in the holy land of Vrindavan. It is celebrated round the year, whenever the devotees get an opportunity. There is not a single day in a year which goes without any celebration. The devotees celebrate their Lord in one way or the other. There are countless occasions for the celebrations, which never comes to an end.
Last year the devotees organized Shriman Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s 5th Centennial ceremony of Vrindavan advent in a grand way. The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee participated in one of these events. It was celebrated majorly by five groups.
But the devotees feel that one year celebration was not enough to commemorate the ‘discovery of Vrindavan’ by the incarnation of Shri Krishna Himself. They have decided to celebrate it again this year, as the dates of Mahaprabhu’s Vrindavan advent slightly differ in the Goudiya Math calendar.
This year the 5th centennial celebration of Mahaprabhu’s arrival in Vrindavan will be organized on the bank of Yamuna at Imlitala from 16th October to 14th November. A month long celebration will witness the Gouranga Lila in the mornings, to be performed by the troupes of Padmashree Swami Hargovinda ji. Renowned Vaishnava Acharyas will distribute the nectar of Mahaprabhu’s teachings in the afternoon, to be followed by Mahanam Sankirtan.
The devotees are so excited that they have organized a ‘Bus Yatra’ to and fro Puri following the path followed by Mahaprabhu. The ‘Yatra’ will begin on 14th September from Vrindavan and will reach Puri on 18th September. It will then return back to Vrindavan on 5th October. The ‘Yatra’ will stop in various places where Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu rested, during his journey to Vrindavan.
Shri Goudiya Sangh, Shri Vraja Saraswat Goudiya Vaishnav Sangh, Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Vrindavan Aagaman Panchashati Samaroh Samiti will jointly organize this great event.
